In what can only be described as an expletive-laced rant at a press briefing today, the Premier of Alberta, Danielle Smith, suggested that Ontario, Quebec and those “Stupid fisherman” out east should bend over and take Alberta’s full expression of its political position toward anywhere where people only where cowboy hats ironically. Smugly, confidently and with a strange gleam in her eye, the Premier, in no uncertain terms told Canada, and anyone else listening, that “Oil will be flowing all over this country whether voters want it or not.” When asked if she had a back up plan should the UCP decide to force her out, Smith laughed and said the Trump administration have offered her a standing invite to join his administration anytime.
