“I will admit, we assumed they would arrive already assembled and not left on the doorstep of 24 Sussex. This is a surprise.” Said Stephen Fuhr, Canada’s newly appointed Chief military procurement officer. “We’re debating on whether to just bring them back to Shoppers and get our money back, maybe look at some European jets. Putting together stuff like this is a nightmare,” The original deal would have seen Canada buy a total of 88 F-35 jets from the States, but given the tensions created by Trump’s threats of annexation, Canada has only agreed to purchase a total of 16. “We’ll probably toss those on Kijiji”, said Fuhr.
