Ottawa moves to restrict social media for kids 16 and under. Pornhub still fine.

Ottawa -
“We’re confident that kids will NOT click the ‘I am 18 or older’ banner. It would be dishonest and a flagrant disregard for internet protocol and we know that Canadian kids are all about following the rules!” Said a spokesperson for Culture Minister, Marc Miller. Following the example set by Australia last month, Canada will be passing legislation banning kids from having Tik-Tok, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram accounts until after 16. Although recent data shows that Australian kids have easily found a way around the new rules, it should be noted that the number of teens walking into buildings and traffic has decreased dramatically.
