A quick survey of hockey fans from across Canada showed a wary excitement about the possibility of the Stanley Cup finally coming back to Canada - “Oh sure! We love ‘em right now, but if they screw this up we’ll just go back to calling them rednecks and hicks!” Said Margie Hannilow, a school teacher from Etobicoke, “I've never seen a bandwagon I won't jump on!” Linus Garber, a Winnipeg service technician said, “Hey, it’ll be great if they can bring the cup back to Canada, if not, well whaddya expect from a bunch of mall-fuckers!” Over 200 Canadians were asked and most had similar reactions. In Ontario, many added that they don’t care who wins the cup as long as its not Montreal.
