In a move the opposition Conservatives called, ‘Wonderfully cruel and unnecessary’. The Federal Liberals announced they will introduce legislation to extend the ban on medically assisted suicide for those suffering only from mental illness. Caught on a hot mic, Justice Minister, Sean Fraser, was heard saying - ‘Hey if you’re nuts and you say you want to end it all, how do we really know, right? I mean you’re nuts! So how can you make a clear decision? I mean, we can’t shell out the green to put you down if you’re not 100% upstairs know what I mean?’ The legislation is expected to pass with little opposition. Pierre Poilievre suggested extending the ban to anyone who could still blink.
