Taking the fifth turned out to be not enough in protecting himself against a punishing barrage of questions about the handling of the 2020 COVID crisis. After insisting for years that the pandemic was handled as well as it could be given the information provided to him, Dr. Anthony Fauci finally snapped. What happened next was pandemonium. “GOP senators were pushing Rand Paul directly into the path of the menacing virus ball like a sacrificial lamb, while a maniacal Fauci kept wailing – “You’ve pushed me far enough!!” Paul screamed for help but his fellow tormentors were out the door to safety, leaving Paul to choke and writhe on the floor. “What’s surprising...” Said one observer, “Is that the GOP was fully aware that this could happen, their entire line of questioning was built around Fauci somehow controlling COVID, so you get what you bargain for.”
