Grocery executive denies record profits.

Toronto -
“There is no price-gouging or collusion between the major food distributors.” Said one executive between gulps of Iranian caviar. “This is all about the supply chain and the difficulty to move apples and potatoes, they’re very unstable and delicate.” With Canada facing record inflation and food prices soaring, many are calling on the federal government itself to get into the food business. NDP leader, Avi Lewis, has directly called on the Liberals to enact legislation that would guarantee that middle and lower income families can still maintain a healthy diet using government controlled grocery stores. An idea the Liberals plan to steal if it looks doable.
