Carney balances pipeline announcement with purchase of eco-friendly, ‘reclaimed cork’ fighter jets from Holland.

Amsterdam –
“We’re not saying they’re the fastest jets, or even technically air-worthy, but we realize the importance of bio-diversity challenges,” Said an RCAF spokesperson after the surprise announcement. “The debate between buying the American F-35 or the Swedish Gripen was becoming a nightmare, so we’re splitting the difference. A little bit Euro, a little quirky, but more importantly, these tree hugging saps can’t say we’re not planet friendly.” The move is widely seen as the Prime Minister trying to strike a balance after giving the go ahead for talks to build an LNG pipeline to the Pacific. “Best thing about these jets, you get shot down over the ocean and they float! So… we’re stoked.”
