Netflix buys CBC for storage.

Los Gatos -
“How's that for Canadian content!” Chuckled Spencer Neumann, the CFO of the streaming giant. “They don’t seem to be doing much with it so we thought we’d throw them a bone. Plus, we’re going to need the space for crates of cash and Canadian winters are perfect for long term storage, they’ve assured us the heat has been off for some time.” In a surprise move, Netflix purchased the flailing Crown corporation for an undisclosed amount, but some say well into the five figure domain. The network will still be allowed to produce programming as Netflix sees no discernible threat to it’s viewer base. “We’re not asking them stop making content, and they do have a streaming service we understand, I think it’s called ‘Jim?’ Or something like that?” CBC does feature a streaming service called ‘Gem’ for which they have the nerve to ask a fee...much to the chagrin of the Canadian tax-payer.
